It will be an Ontario match-up in the National Ringette League championship final when the Cambridge Turbos meet Ottawa Ice to battle for national gold tomorrow. Cambridge received a bye to the finals after beating Calgary RATH 8-4 this morning and finish in the top spot after round-robin play. PEI makes history at ringette nationals, battle for national titles heats up

In 1986, Prince Edward Island made the trek to Regina for their first ever appearance at the Canadian ringette championships. Over the course of the next 28 years, PEI has never been able to capture a win at the national event, until today. The PEI U19 team made history when they beat BC's Thompson Okanagan Ringette League (TORL) 11-6 and then went on to beat Manitoba's Eastman Flames 7-6. Leading the scoring for PEI were Charlottetown's Alysha Corrigan with 11 points and Stratford's Ashley Hollis with ten. Both Corrigan and Hollis picked up hat tricks in both wins today.…
