An update from the Gloucester Devils

Since our last update, we have played 5 games, winning all 5.

In our last 10 games, we have a record of 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.

At this point in the season, the NRL Devils have earned a spot in the NRL playoffs, which are planned for March 4 and 5, 2017.

Jasmine Leblanc has continued her exemplary performance this season. She recorded a shut-out versus Waterloo, which was only the 3rd shutout recorded in the entire NRL season this year.

Our leading point scorers for the past 5 games have been Kaitlyn Youldon with 22, Alison Biewald, 22; Allie Marcotte, 11; Lauren McGonigal, 10, Brianna Thompson, 9; and Stephanie Rheaume and Dom Scapillati, each with 5 points.

In an outreach initiative with the West Ottawa Ringette Association (WORA), the Devils hosted Le Royal de Bourassa on February 12 as part of the annual WORA tournament. Many WORA players have supported the NRL Devils over the years and we had 140 spectators for a season high. Our Ashley McKenny is a coach on the Metcalfe Hornets U12 team and her team came to watch the game and visit with the Devils for a post-game autograph signing event (see photo below).

The Devils finish up their season this weekend, hosting Gatineau on February 18 and visiting Montreal and Le Royal de Bourassa on Sunday, February 19.
